Based on the limited gameplay we saw, it looked like there was actually a half decent story, too.

As well as this, we were promised a world that is reactive and shaped by our choices. At E3, we were shown a gritty world barely hanging on to survival. Ok, so this is gonna be a long answer, and I'll try to break it down into segments for ya.įirst off, some of the largest complaints are about the false advertising from the E3 Demo to what we got.
DYING LIGHT 2 GAMEPLAY FULL
Even if the zombie is at a complete standstill, a hit can trigger that lunge/stumble and he's suddenly slamming into you at full speed and momentum. This whole lunging/stumbling thing seems more prevalent on higher difficulties, but the animations just cut in and out of each other. I think this is a similar example as well. There's one falling animation that plays two separate times, that would result in the Hazmat Zombie landing on the ground, but subsequent kicks cancel it and a different animation starts. Unless there's something else you're referring to, I feel like my second clip actually demonstrates that happening in DL 1, too.

I remember being being able to do that even back when I first tried the game in November, however they still won't go over edges on their own today.Īnother example: DL2, kick a zombie, same thing but if an animation queues to play it puts the zombie back to its standing state I can definitely kick zombies off of roofs and they'll just ragdoll, though. This can still occur in Dying Light 1, at least during combat and on kills, which is partly where my confusion of the above statement comes from. It's like there isn't an automatic trigger for ragdolls where there should be, like past the edge of a roof or walking into spikes, because you can hit enemies/zombies during one of their canned animations and they'll ragdoll like normal. It feels like the animations overwrite the physics.Īlright yeah, I totally get that. We do encourage original content, however. Unmarked posts will be removed and member subject to severe punishment.
